Short Bio

Ms Cavalli is an Electronic Engineer, she holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration and a Masters Degree in Telecom Regulations. She is also a PHD Candidate in Business Administration.

Ms. Cavalli is a Member of the MAG, the Adivisory Group for the Internet Governance Forum.

She is also advisor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Argentina, where she represents Argentina at the GAC (Governmental Adivsor Commitee) of ICANN, she is the Argentina Focal Point for the Information Society eLAC 2007 Action Plan, the coordinator of the eLAC2007 Financing Working Group and the coordinator of the eLAc 2007 Internet Governance Working Group. She was the Argentina representative and negotiator during World Summit of the Information Society held at Tunis, in November 2005.

Ms. Cavalli is a teacher in the Universidad de Buenos Aires, in the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires and in the Instituto del Servicio Exterior de la Nación, where she teaches subjects related with technology, Internet and policy related with technology.

Veronica Cretu is the President of the “CMB” Training Center, Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. “CMB” Training Center is a non-governmental organization the mission of which is promoting Innovations in Communication, Management and Business.

Mrs. Cretu holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Diplomacy, with DiploFoundation, Malta and she will continue in 2007-2008 with a Master Program in Contemporary Diplomacy also with DiploFoundation, Malta.

Along with the activities at the “CMB” Training Center in Moldova, Mrs. Cretu is currently involved in the Internet Governance Capacity Building Program with DiploFoundation. She has been acting as an online tutor and online research supervisor in this Program since early 2005.

Mrs. Cretu has an extensive experience in Training of Trainers, Project Management, Project Evaluation and Adult Education.

Mrs. Cretu’s current areas of interest are : The role of ICT in Diplomacy, The Multi stakeholder partnerships in ICT4D; The Evolution and further development of the Internet and the Role of IGF and ICANN in this process; Ways of improving literacy and educational facilities as a means of reducing the digital divide and improving accessibly in the developing countries, Promoting Multilingualism and Cultural Diversity on the Internet, Role of E-education in Promoting Access to Knowledge in the Developing Countries.

Gadi Evron is Security Architect for Afilias global registry services and recognized globally for his work and leadership in Internet security operations. He is the founder of the Zeroday Emergency Response Team (ZERT), organizes and chairs worldwide conferences, working groups and task forces. He is considered an expert on corporate security and counterespionage, botnets, e-fraud and phishing. Among his previous positions, Gadi was CISO at the Israeli government ISP (eGovernment project) and founded the Israeli Government CERT. Gadi authored two books on information security and is a frequent lecturer

Robert Guerra is based in Toronto, Canada. He is one of the founding directors of Privaterra - an ongoing project of the SAGE Charitable foundation that works with NGOs to assist them with issues of data privacy, secure communications and information security.

He currently sits on the board of Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility (CPSR), and was actively involved in the recent UN World Summit on the Information Society, including as an NGO advisor to the Canadian delegation, and the focal point for CPSR. He also sits on the advisory board of several non-profits, including Taking IT Global, DiploFoundation's Internet Governance and Policy Capacity Building Programme, and The Internet Corporations for Assigned Names and Numbers's At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC).

Short Bio

Cristine Hoepers is a Senior Security Analyst and General Manager at CERT.br, the Brazilian National CERT, maintained by NIC.br, from the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee. She has been working with Incident Management at CERT.br since 1999, where she is also a SEI/CMU authorized instructor to deliver the CERT Program courses in Brazil. She has been involved with the development of the Honeynet.BR Project, which is a member of the Honeynet Research Alliance, the deployment of a network of distributed honeypots in Brazil - The Brazilian Honeypots Alliance , and with SpamPots Project, whose objective is to Measure the Abuse of End-User Machines to Send Spam.

Cristine is a CERT-Certified Computer Security Incident Handler and is currently pursuing her PhD in Computer Security at the Brazilian National Institute for Space Research (INPE). She has been a speaker at several forums such as ITU, OAS, APWG, London Action Plan, LACNIC, AusCERT Conferences and FIRST.
