"Desirability of the continuation of the Internet Governance Forum" For most of the under developed and developing countries the present Internet management and allocation policy still does not make the Internet access cost very viable to establish the requisite e-infrastructure for Internet outreach. It is also felt that while the IGF meetings have successfully addressed this mandate as per the Tunis Agenda.  India finds that the IGF meetings has facilitated open and inclusive deliberations on Public Policy issues of Internet and its governance for free and frank exchange of information and expertise on aspects of e-infrastructure, establish strategies of equitable Internet access through localization of Internet (interface tools, content and services) as also an early awareness and cooperative mode of tackling cyber crime.   Government of India finds the process effective and the IGF Secretariat’s capabilities unquestionable. It is therefore desirable that the IGF continues is renewed for a further period of 5 years. India proposes that the following agenda items could be pursued by IGF to further its cause of providing an inclusive forum for open dialogue on public policy issues of Internet: - Regulation and Legislation. - ICT for development. - Community Empowerment through Integrated Digital Inclusiveness -Grassroots Communities, Knowledge Outreach & Content Development. - Addressing Information poverty through Content Inclusiveness & Integrated Tele-centre Movement. - Technological solutions for localization/multi-lingualization. - Impact of convergence technologies ‘Mobile Internet’ Next Generation Networks’ especially on IGF.
