Biography
Born in 1971, I graduated in Education Sciences at the University of Burundi in 2001. I got involved into ICT matters in 2001, when my collegues and I set up the BYTC. We aim at training others youths on ICTs.
I got involved into Internet Governance domain in 2007 when I successfuly attended the online training on Internet Governance led by Diplo Foundation. I bacame a tutor for the French group in the same capacity building programme the next year and until now.
In 2008, I physically attended the IGF held in Hyderabad India.
In 2010, I worked as a fellow at the IGF Secretariat during 6 months.
During the same year, I have coordinated the IGF 2010 IGF remote hub set up in Bujumbura, my city of residence.
In 2011, I have been tutoring the francophone group during the online training phase of the ISOC's Next Generation Leaders.

Biography
Consultant and academic working on ICTs and the Internet, in particular their relationship with development, rights and the environment. Author of studies of WSIS; mapping of Internet governance; use of mobile telephony and the Internet in developing countries; many other ICT and Internet-related issues. Work as consultant for international organisations, development agencies, governments, civil society and private sector. Visiting senior fellow, Dept of Media and Communications at London School of Economics; visiting professor at Strathclyde University. Participated in all IGF meetings to date in dual stakeholder capacity, as both civil society (academic and research work for civil society organisations) and private sector (consultant).

Biography
Norbert Bollow is a systems analyst and technologist who participates in the Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) movement, in international standardization, and in Internet Governance related debates. His advocacy work is motivated primarily by a strong desire for the protection of personal data and communications privacy.
Bringing together in-depth technical and political understanding, as well as a strong desire for the social, economic, technical and legals systems of information society to be designed according to the public interest, Norbert participates actively in the Swiss Open Systems User Group /ch/open and in a variety of civil society groups in Switzerland including Digitale Allmende and Digitale Gesellschaft. He is also the founder of the initiative to create an online Map of Internet Governance at http://idgovmap.org/ .
