Biography: As Chairman and CEO, Mr. Zhou Hongyi is now leading Qihoo 360, an Internet security company that he invested March 2006. A leader in Internet Security industry, 360 now offers a series of products including 360 secure browser, 360 safe box, 360 Antivirus, etc., which can be downloaded FREE by any Internet user.
Previously, Mr. Zhouhongyi was an investor who had stakes in a number of Internet software startups, helping them take on the fast track. From late 2005, Mr. Zhou served as a Venture Partner of IDG, seeking fast growing opportunities in SMEs. Prior to IDG, Mr. Zhou served as CEO of Yahoo!China. During his tenure, Mr. Zhou took up responsibilities for the formation and execution of Yahoo!China's business strategy, while observing daily operations of the company. As a result of his commitment, www.Yahoo.cn outgrew www.Google.cn in terms of traffic.
Prior to Yahoo!China, Mr. Zhouhongyi was the leader of 3721.com, a company that he founded in 1998 with an aim to help Chinese users access Internet in their native language rather than English. In five years, 3721.com developed itself into a leading Internet search engine and online marketing company with the largest market share in China. In 2003, 3721.com was acquired by Yahoo! for $120 million, and the following year Mr. Zhou joined Yahoo!China.
Graduated from the School of Management Xi¡¯An Jiaotong University, Mr. Zhou Hongyi received Master degree of Science in System Engineering.
