1. To what extent has the IGF addressed the mandate set out for it in the Tunis Agenda?
The State of Qatar represented by ICTQATAR comment regarding the "Internet Governance forum (IGF)".

The IGF has proven to be a unique form for a true multi-stakeholder platform to discuss internet governance issues in a global manner. The IGF has enabled governments, United Nations, Private Sector, Civil Society and other stakeholders to participate freely, opnely, actively and more importantly on an equal footing addressing abroad number of issues related to the socio-economic Development of the internet.

2. To what extent has the IGF embodied the WSIS principles?
The IGF has provided a unique forum for organisations to present their activities exchange ideas and has facilitated a great capacity building opportunity. The IGF also improved the interactions between governmental, civil society and business participations on a nationla and international level particularly in the developing world. Furthermore, the IGF impact resulted on the emergence of IGF-theme forums at the national and regional level which is significant development toward achieving World Summit for Information Society "WSIS" Tunis Agenda.

3. What has the impact of the IGF been in direct or indirect terms? Has it impacted you or your stakeholder group/institution/government? Has it acted as a catalyst for change?
The State of Qatar believes that it is important for this multi-stakeholder platform created by the IGF to continue making its global impact, and to be used as a forum for a constructive and open exchange of idea. We believe in that the current work fot he IGF is fully consistent with the principles of the World Summit for Information Society “WSIS” and is addressing appropriately its mandate as articulated in the Tunis Agenda.

4. How effective are IGF processes in addressing the tasks set out for it, including the functioning of the Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG), Secretariat and open consultations?
The IGF processes have generally worked well and are continuously improving. Therefore, we would like to express our appreciation for the work done by the IGF secretariat and chairperson, the volunteer multi-stakeholder advisory group (MAG).

5. Is it desirable to continue the IGF past its initial five-year mandate, and why/why not?
