CYBERCRIME TRAINING FOR JUDICIARY AND LAW ENFORCEMENT AS A TOOL FOR INTERNET GOVERNANCE
For an efficient Internet governance regime in place, it is very critical that cybercrime must be appropriately regulated. However as experience has shown, in the context of the Third World and the developing countries, the biggest challenges lie in the area of detection , investigation and prosecution of cybercrimes and cybercriminals. There is a need for tremendous training for both judiciary and the law enforcement agencies with the latest trends on cybercrimes so as to keep them empowered with the latest tools and strategies to deal with cybercrime cases.
Cybercrime training for law enforcement and judiciary can be an effective tool towards furthering the cause of Internet Governance. The proposed workshop shall look at how cybercrime training of judiciary and law enforcement can contribute to a secure cyberspace, which in turn, is a fertile ground for further evolution of Internet Governance. Various speakers would be invited from different judiciaries and law enforcement agencies across the world to contribute their thought process on the subject under discussion.
