FOUR SISTERS -- INFORMATION SECURITY, DATA PROTECTION, PRIVACY AND ELECTRONIC GOVERNANCE -- ANOTHER YEAR; NEW DEVELOPMENTS

Concise Description:
The proposed workshop aims to look at four critical areas which are of direct significance for any developing country. These areas are Information Security, Data Protection, Privacy And Electronic Governance. There are a variety of legal challenges in each of these subjects which have a direct impact upon the further growth and evolution of Internet governance in the world. The proposed workshop shall look at the developments that have happened in these subjects in the year 2009 and further will examine the various proposed legal issues and challenges that are likely to emerge in the said four disciplines and how they will have a direct interplay with the further growth of Internet governance. It is proposed to invite distinguished members from different stakeholders to come and contribute their inputs on these issues. The proposed workshop will aim to also provide an update in these areas regarding the emerging legal trends, that are likely to emerge in the coming year.
