37. The internet goes mobile - child protection in the always connected age
Provide a concise formulation for the proposed workshop theme including its importance and relevance to the IGF.

Many countries see the emergence of mobile phone technology as a means of leapfrogging costly, time-consuming and ecologically challenging routes to providing mass internet access to their citizens. But with the development of WiFi enabled handsets, with GPS modules built in and with mobile phones; having high quality vidoes and stills cameras as standard what extra or particular child safety challenges can we expect and what strategies are emerging to meet those challenges?

NACSO will take responsibility for organizing this workshop. NACSO or its constituent members has worked co-operatively in the past with each of the named participants.>br>
Does the proposed workshop provide different perspectives on the issues under discussion?
Yes.
Please explain how the workshop will address issues relating to Internet governance and describe how the workshop conforms with the Tunis Agenda in terms of substance and the mandate of the IGF.
The issues addressed by the workshop fall generally under the heading of Security and they also address a number of key themes identified in the Tunnis Declaration and Plan of Action.
List similar events you and/or any other IGF workshops you have organized in the past.
Each of the participants has organized similiar events over many years, including in the case of NACSO, or one of its mebers, CHIS, at Rio last year.
Were you part of organizing a workshop last year? Which one? Did you submit a workshop report?
CHIS is a part of NACSO and was involved in two workshops in Rio and one Forum organized by the EU.
