Pre-eventsThe week will start with an introduction to Internet Governance in which we will address the history, developments and participation methods of Internet Governance and the IGF. Throughout the rest of the week we will have scholars and experts in the field give 30min introductions to our selected IGF sessions in which they will contextualise the topic and provide background information. At the end of each IGF session we will have additional time for short discussions and reflections of the session with the scholar/expert. We will also host practical workshops such as media literacy and setting up a domain name. YEM Online Education will also stream the Global IGF using our social media platforms for those who want to join online in our country and will be sharing pictures of the remote hub also videos via online platforms as we participate remotely. YEM Online Education is planning to invite the MEC of Department of Digital Technology and the Department of Education from the Government of South Africa to be part of the remote hub.
