2018 was a special year for Poland – the 100th anniversary of its reclaimed independence. On this occasion The Kosciuszko Institute prepared an unprecedented exhibition entitled “Digits, Codes, Ciphers – 100 Years of Polish Independence” devoted to the contribution of Polish scientists in the worldwide development of mathematics, cryptography and computer science. Along with the presentation of the Polish STEM and Digital Heritage, it demonstrates how joint efforts of countries can be transformed into shared success, which in today’s cyber world allows us to improve national and international security and which is at same time the guiding rule of the European Cybersecurity Forum – CYBERSEC. Current century is also going to be marked by a joint struggle for keeping Internet United.

On the occasion of the IGF, we would like to show a brief history of Polish cryptography and refer to the present platform which brings together the most important cybersecurity decision makers - CYBERSEC conferences, which of The Kościuszko Institute is the main organizer.
