Policy Question(s)

Cybersecurity practices and mechanisms: What are the good cybersecurity practices and international mechanisms that already exist? Where do those mechanisms fall short and what can be done to strengthen the security and to reinforce the trust?
Ensuring a safe digital space: How should governments, Internet businesses and other stakeholders protect citizens, including vulnerable citizens, against online exploitation and abuse?

Many campaigns try to monopolize the conversation on social networks and have an impact by achieving a trend. This struggle to gain user attention and visibility with a trend, has created a whole series of bubbles on social networks, especially on Twitter. We will address how trends inflate and how to obtain evidence of how they do so from a country other than the affected one.

SDGs

16. Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions

Targets: While the conversation can be less polarized in a fictitious way, the conversation that can be had is much better and achieve better contributions from the citizenry

Description:

We will review the trends, what is its organic vs inorganic behavior, what are the similarities, and how to establish if it is a foreign intervention

Expected Outcomes

We are looking for organizations that help us to monitor mainly political events in their countries to carry out a mapping that allows us to know the sources of trends

Online demonstrations will be made of countries where the attendees are from, to connect with the reality of each one, in the same way, questions will be received during the demonstration
