Pre-meeting Guide to IGF 2020 Issues and Themes

Final Version of the Guide to IGF 2020 Issues and Themes Now Available

For the first time, for IGF 2020, the IGF Secretariat has developed a pre-meeting guide to assist IGF participants quickly gain an understanding of the themes and topics to be discussed at the upcoming IGF meeting. With over 250 sessions and over 400 policy questions posed across those sessions, the pre-meeting guide aims to provide an overarching framework for discussing the many and varied policy issues to be discussed in the two phases of IGF 2020.

The final version of the guide is now available:

The guide contains:

• Information on making the most of the thematic tracks, both as a session organiser and as a participant
• Overviews of each of the themes
• Three overarching policy questions for each of the themes based on the contents of all sessions related to each theme
• Lists of sessions associated with each theme (in the annex)

Draft pre-meeting guide public comment period closed 30 October

As a new activity by the secretariat to synthesize the many different issues to be discussed at IGF 2020, the secretariat sought feedback from IGF participants on the content of the guide - specifically, whether it is useful for participants and what other content participants think could be added to the guide.
