Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Zimbabwe

Positions in Government: Honourable Monica Mutsvangwa is Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services in the Second Republic Government of President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe.

Hon. Mutsvangwa has been in continuous Cabinet service since 2012. She was Governor and Resident Minister of Manicaland Province. Prior to that, she had held the portfolios of Deputy Minister of Economic Planning, Deputy Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcast Services, and Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Welfare. 

•    Master of Business Administration (MBA); Rutgers University, New Jersey, USA. Bachelor of Business Administration Degree (BBA)

•    Baruch College, City University of New York, Majored in International Marketing. 

•    Monica is proficient in Shona, English, French and some Mandarin.

Multinational Fora:  Hon. Monica Mutsvangwa has served in various capacities at the subregional Southern Africa Development Community-SADC Parliamentary Forum, including as Vice President from 2015 to 2017 and Treasurer General.  She has also held the post of Chief Country Coordinator of the United Nations CSW attending their annual sessions in New York.

Diplomatic Service: Hon. Monica Mutsvangwa’s career in the diplomatic corps spans close to 3 decades, having represented the country across the world. 

Business and Professional Life: Monica commands an exceptional business acumen. She has been a Director of Moncris Consultancy Pvt Ltd since 1991. The company has championed major business initiatives and has over the years executed a number of revolutionary projects in the national economy. 

These include working with Tsingshan Holdings Group ranked number 238 on the Global Fortune 500 list of companies, to establish flagship projects in Zimbabwe, among them the US$ 1.2 billion DISCO Mvuma-Chivhu-Manhize Steel Plant, the Dinson Metallurgical Coke Batteries in Hwange and Ferrochrome Furnaces in Selous.
