Proposal to the computer program for Down Syndrome students

7. Description of workshop

At the session a video showing how ICT enhance local development and welfare of society, with sustainable approach to Down syndrome children will be exposed. The contribution of the Joven Club for the formation of these children will be displayed. The work of instructors from Joven Club with these children will support special schools which together achieve quality learning and social integration.

A curriculum that allows taking care Down syndrome children, as well as a Web page that enables interactive consulting with teachers and family was drawn; considering that the care of people with disabilities is a priority in Cuba and it is a line of research in the Ramal Education Program. A new paradigm leads from the information society to the knowledge society, and imposes education model of technological convergence, so that integration as a system of teaching computer access to children and Down Syndrome children develop independence

In the workshop session will be presented the video described above for 10 minutes and 50 minutes remaining discussion thereof will take place, taking into account the recommendations of the participants. In this space of time the audience at the meeting will ask questions to the exhibitors who are subject shall call by the moderator, who will organize the response to questions by exhibitors.
