IGF 2026 Intersessional Work Proposals

The open Call for Thematic Input invited stakeholders worldwide to contribute their perspectives on the most pressing issues, priorities, and challenges in the governance of digital technologies. Through this bottom-up consultation process, these contributions provide valuable insights to identify, amongst others, thematic priorities for intersessional work (Policy Networks and Best Practice Forums).

As part of the submissions, stakeholders were also invited to propose ideas for intersessional work that could be carried out in the lead-up to IGF 2026. The proposals received will be shared with the IGF 2026 Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG) for consideration.

The following document consolidates all the intersessional work proposals submitted by stakeholders.

Received Proposals

The IGF Secretariat received sixty-one (61) IGF 2026 intersessional work proposals, suggesting potential Policy Networks (PNs) and Best Practice Forums (BPFs) that could be established for this IGF cycle.

The document consolidates all proposals received, anonymizing submissions, for the IGF 2026 MAG's consideration. The selection of PNs and BPFs will be finalized at the MAG's first Open Consultation and MAG meeting.
