Interventions

Speakers have been chosen to reflect their expertise and practical experience in engaging in Network issues as well as their different viewpoints, given that they come from different backgrounds in terms of the technical group. This will help stimulate the discussion and provide the audience with a broad range of perspectives. Each speaker will initially be given five minutes to present their views through a managed set of questions and answers with the moderator, to ensure the audience is brought up to speed with the debate on the subject. Shortly thereafter the moderator will ensure that they are given an opportunity to answer in a balanced manner.

Diversity

This session aims to gather a variety of community to discuss how the Network issues can be addressed. This session effort will be made to introduce new perspective for other community to realize actual scenario of the overall network. The organizers will encourage and incorporate remote participation into the session, and gender balance has been encouraged through speaker choices.

The panelists have been carefully selected for their expertise to allow the discussion to be grounded in the most up-to-date and relevant information. After their initial interventions, the moderator will actively seek to gather feedback and questions from the audience to ensure that participation in the discussion is as broad and interactive as possible.

A modern solution to today’s networking has many challenges include provide secured network connectivity, Enterprise solutions, however, cloud migration and mobility are putting huge pressure on networks. The analysis shows much Wi-Fi use has dropped due to the consumer is shifting to cellular mobile networks that are providing new, unlimited data bundles. Consumers are taking advantages of unlimited data plans being offered by the major mobile network operators (MNOs). Data congestion are being faced particular time frame for Mobile operators and, network interference for frequency overlap causing the huge impact on network services. However
Spectrum Access System and Environmental Sensing Capability services must be implemented to avoid any possible interference between users. On the other hand, ISP and wireless Network have lacking in the authentication process and improper balance of prefix announcement that might also cause degraded network services. Other classes of users are being designated Priority Access and General Authorized Access, building a private enterprise LTE wireless network. Some of the monopolized service provider practicing technical violation and causing the loss of net neutrality, Say goodbye to a free and open internet.

This panel discussion will explore these challenges along with other factors that are behind the technical and operation issue for Network failure and how to regulate technical and governance processes to generate meaningful outcomes. This session relates to one of the eight IGF 2018 themes (‘Technical and Operational Issues) and seeks not only to raise awareness of this topic, but to be a concrete, focused, and cohesive discussion on what actions can actually be taken to strengthen Network issues.

Online Participation

The online moderator will work closely with the onsite moderator to prepare the session ahead of time, ensuring that they are aware of the questions and the topic areas that will be raised in the room. The online moderator will facilitate discussion ahead of the event, requesting questions and driving engagement and interest in the session on various social media platforms such as Twitter. As the APSIG, ISOC has a global membership, we will use our mailing list and website to further reach out to remote participants and their respective networks and to draw them into the conversation. The opportunity for Q&A will also extend to remote participants, who will be given the opportunity to ask questions through the dedicated online forum, such as WebEx or AdobeConnect
