Aida is a young engaged feminist Internet activist eager to learn, collaborate and share.
As programme manager at Oneworld - Platform for South East Europe (OWPSEE), Aida leads Internet rights and women rights projects. Since 2013 she represents the organisation in national working groups on Internet related issues (children online safety, hate speech), and leads the organisation of remote participation to European Dialogue on Internet Governance (EuroDIG) for Bosnia Herzegovina in collaboration with the Council of Europe.
She is co-author of the Giswatch BiH country report 2014 on surveillance. Her passion and commitment to Internet governance is shown by her active participation in the last three IGF and by her past experience as Coordinator for Bosnia Herzegovina (BIH) for Centre for eGovernance Development for South East Europe (CeGD), where as trainee in 2011 produced a study “Cloud Computing and it's Legal Challenges” and assisted in the research Good Practice Case e-Solution for the Report with Helena Habjan (PDF document Renaissance2012).
She is a campaigner for stop violence against women online and coordinated the takebackthetech campaign in her country. She wrote her thesis on Cloud computing. She is a DIPLO alumni and Vice President of STEP at European Law Students Association BiH where she organised sessions for law students on Internet rights as human rights. Aida speaks 4 foreign languages English, Spanish, French, Slovene and has excellent skills in remote and virtual environments.
