Audace Niyonkuru is Chief executive officer of Digital Umuganda, an AI and Open data company focusing on democratising access to information in African languages. He has led various projects on the African continent including the creation of the largest open voice dataset in African languages as well as the development of Mbaza chatbot, a Covid-19 information and services tool that has over 3.6 million users. His interests lie in the intersection of leveraging language technology and enabling access to information for marginalised communities.
