Olga Kyryliuk

Ms. Olga Kyryliuk has a PhD in International Law and is currently a Chair of SEEDIG - South Eastern European Dialogue on Internet Governance covering 20 countries from South Eastern Europe and the neighbouring area (SEE+). In her daily job, she is a Program Manager at the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative in charge of the regional Internet freedom advocacy program in South-Eastern Europe. She is also CEO & Founder of The Influencer Platform, a Ukrainian-based think-and-do tank that trains and unites influencers of all generations who stand for digital rights, equal opportunities, women empowerment, and the open Internet.

Since 2013, she has been actively involved in regional and international Internet governance and human rights initiatives: founding member of the Internet Freedom Network for Eastern, Central Europe, and Eurasia; Europe Representative at Executive Committee of Non-Commercial Users Constituency (NCUC) at Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN); Editor-in-Chief of the SEEsummary, a one-of-a-kind initiative in South-Eastern Europe providing a monthly overview of the most important digital news in the region.

Ms Kyryliuk provides consultancy and expert support to Freedom House, Council of Europe and a range of international companies working worldwide. Her sphere of interest lies at the intersection of law and technology and includes, inter alia, digital rights, Internet governance, data protection, artificial intelligence, digital sovereignty, and content regulation. She is regularly invited as a speaker by universities abroad, national and international event organisers.

In 2020, Ms Kyryliuk led the Ukrainian edition of Global Citizens’ Dialogue “We, the Internet”. A year before that, she was selected as one of five emerging Open Internet Leaders across the world under the Open Internet for Democracy Initiative.

In the past, Ms. Kyryliuk was a Co-founder and Managing Partner of Digital Defenders Partners NGO, Coordinator of COVID-19 Tracking Apps in SEE+ Research Project, member of the ICANN NextGen Program Selection Committee, organising team member of the Ukrainian national IGF. She also dedicated four years to work in leading humanitarian organisations, including International Committee of the Red Cross and Danish Refugee Council, dealing with the provision of legal support to internally displaced persons.
