With over 20 years of experience in the ICT and Telecommunication sector, Tenanoia Simona serves as the CEO of Tuvalu Telecommunications Corporation. In addition to her previous technical and leadership positions, she serves as an Executive Member of the Tuvalu Women for Change Organisation leading the Women C Girls in ICT working group, servers on various Board of Director roles, member of the UN Multistakeholder Advisory Group (MAG), and has previously been a member of the Pacific Islands of the Internet Society (PICISOC) Board.
With a passion for advancing ICT and telecommunications infrastructure, Simona has spearheaded impactful initiatives across various domains, from Satellites, xGPON fibre network roll-out, 4G LTE deployment in remote islands, to Tuvalu’s first subsea cable - Vaka. She is committed to fostering digital literacy, advocating inclusive and effective internet governance, and empowerment to her community. During her spare time, she dedicated herself to providing ICT trainings and cyber awareness programs for children and women in Tuvalu, ensuring inclusivity and resilience in the digital space.
