Tobias B. Bacherle has been Member of the German Bundestag on behalf of the parliamentary group Alliance 90/The Greens since September 2021. As Member of Parliament, he is the Coordinator of the Committee on Digital Affairs, Member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and Deputy Member of the Committee on European Union Affairs. In addition, he is a Deputy Member in the Subcommittee on the United Nations, International Organisations and Civilian Crisis Prevention.
Beyond his committee work in the German Bundestag, he is vice-chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the Maghreb states, member of the Parliamentary Assembly on the Union for the Mediterranean, as well as Deputy Member of the Parliamentary Assembly of NATO.
In 2014 he was elected to the Sindelfingen city council in 2014 as its youngest member and served as party leader of his parliamentary group Alliance 90/The Greens in the city council in his hometown of Sindelfingen between 2019 and 2021. Tobias B. Bacherle studied political science and later media studies at the University of Tübingen.
