Erlingur Erlingsson has been a Public Policy Manager on Meta's International Institutions team since 2018, working on all aspects of policy engagement with key international organizations, such as the OECD and the United Nations. He coordinates Meta’s engagement with the IGF and works closely on internet governance issues. Prior to joining Facebook, Erlingur was the Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Iceland in Washington DC. He spent 15 years in the Icelandic Foreign Service, with stints working for UNICEF in Tajikistan, and NATO and the UN in Afghanistan. Erlingur holds an MBA from Reykjavik University and studied military history at Oxford University.
