How to build a digital new deal for Europe?

Session Content: 

This Flash Session intend to present the Digital New Deal theory on how Europe should promote and put into practice its own regulation agenda regarding platforms. Competition law, fiscal matters as well as privacy considerations will be developped by the three panelists.

Interventions: 

Olivier SIchel, President of the Foundation, will developp the competition aspect of the theory. He was appointed CEO of LeGuide Group in July 2012. In 2017, he is appointed deputy CEO of La Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations Group.

Vincent Renoux, is a lawyer specialised in fiscal law. He has recently published a report on how to tax digital platform.

Judith Rochfeld, is a law professor, specialised in privacy and data matters. She has recently published a note on How Europe should reform its data privacy regulation.

Diversity: 

Judith Rochfeld is a reknown female professor of Law, from Paris University - La Sorbonne. She is expert on data law, privacy law.

Vincent Renoux is a French Lawer specialised in fiscal law.

Olivier Sichel has experiences in leading digital firms and is currently leading the digital transformation of the French public bank - Caisse des dépôts.

Online Participation: 

Online participation will be made possible through the organisation of the webstreaming of the discussion.
Interaction both for the onsite attendees and the online attendees will be made possible throught the use of the Slido App.
It will allow us to crowdsource the best questions (both online and on site)
Online attendees will therefore have the same room for participation as the onsite ones.
Twitter and social media will also be followed byt the online moderator through a dedicated #

Discussion Facilitation: 

5 minutes speech by each of the Keynote speaker who will present one aspect of the theory (Competition aspets, fiscal matters, privacy issues)

15 minutes Q&A session with the audience and the remote attendees through the use of an app (Slido for instance).
