What will participants gain from attending this session? Session attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between public innovation and governance, which serve as key elements in fostering cooperation between institutions through digital tools. The session will explore contributing factors, barriers, and the current potential for integrating actors within the framework of public policy design and implementation programs.

Description:

A perspective from the cooperation of the countries of the southern hemisphere through information technologies.
The workshop on Public Innovation for Governance and Cooperation: A Perspective from the Cooperation of the Countries of the Southern Hemisphere through Information Technologies and Telecommunications will provide a space to present attendees with an analysis from various perspectives on the implications of innovation processes in the public sector. The focus will be on the development of governance and cooperation processes through the use of information technology and telecommunications tools. During the workshop, speakers will highlight enabling aspects, main barriers, potential for implementation, as well as previous experiences and success stories of implementing information technologies and telecommunications for cooperation between public organizations, particularly within the countries of the southern hemisphere. The workshop has been designed as an interactive exhibition experience, allowing participants to engage in real-time interaction with the speakers through questions and votes. The speakers will address these interactions during the workshop, and the responses will be published online as the event unfolds.

Expected Outcomes

As a result of the participation in the event, a book is expected to be compiled where the authors of the presentations present their interventions in detail and identify guidelines for their implementation.

Hybrid Format: The dissertations are expected to show the different dimensions of innovation for governance and cooperation between countries of the southern hemisphere.
At the end of the presentations, the moderators will make interventions exposing the results of the votes made by attendees, the rapporteur will be compiling aspects of each response and the main questions asked to record them in a microsite open to the public.

A QR code will be provided to the attendees so that they can access the results of the rapporteurship online.
