Description:
Metaverse is an electronic space in which humans can interact through animated avatars that represent them. Currently, there are some uses of the basic components of Metaverse technology, such as virtual, augmented, mixed realities, and artificial intelligence. Metaverse will open a door for artificial intelligence, which will be a challenge not easy, which is to produce and generate images that are true to reality. In normal cases, artificial intelligence through generative models succeeded in producing fake images that simulate the real, and this will be considered a new challenge in the world of metaverse.
Metaverse will need a critical amount of interconnected technological technologies, the absence of one of will negatively affect the other. Analysis of the Palestinian situation and its preparation for these technical challenges will be studied: VR, AI, AR, BCI and internet infrastructure (5G). Moreover, metaverse will make governments to raise the awareness about environmental issues which will be complementary with their vision to achieve sustainable environmental development, as Metaverse will help reduce carbon emissions by replacing physical goods with digital ones.
The most requested artificial intelligence techniques to support the metaverse, the technical challenges of metaverse and analysis of the readiness of the Palestinian state, the role of metaverse and their impact on the environment and sustainability, and the policies that should be put in place regarding child's rights in the world of metaverse are all topics that will be detailed and put in the session.
The expected outputs will be an analysis of reality and its readiness for metaverse (taking Palestine as case study), and an increase in awareness of the importance of artificial intelligence and its employment in governments to simulate the next world.
