The session adopts an inclusive approach, incorporating insights from onsite and online participants through interactive tools, ensuring a comprehensive examination of the subject matter. Expected Outcomes

his session aims to deepen participants' understanding of the complexities surrounding the use of AI by law enforcement agencies in investigating cybercrime and technology-supported crimes, with a focus on human rights considerations. Key challenges and potential human rights implications associated with the implementation of AI technologies in law enforcement investigations will be identified, fostering a comprehensive understanding of the topic. The workshop seeks to generate best practices and recommendations for law enforcement agencies to ensure the responsible and ethical use of AI in investigations while safeguarding human rights. Specific outputs include a comprehensive workshop report serving as a resource for policymakers, a concise policy brief for decision-makers, potential follow-up events or processes to continue addressing the identified issues, and knowledge sharing through academic publications and research papers.
