Description:

The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) is a multistakeholder platform that brings together various stakeholders from governments, civil society, private sector, academia, and technical community to discuss public policy issues related to the Internet. In such scenario community leaders play a crucial role in the IGF by representing their respective communities and advocating for their interests. This proposal aims to explore the role of community leadership in the IGF and how it can be strengthened. Community leadership is a critical component of the IGF, and its importance cannot be overstated.
The work done by community leaders at grassroots level is highly important and needs to further explored for greater research and investigation to bridge the current gaps of digital divide.

The discussion aims to identify the role of community leadership in the local level communities, examine the challenges faced by community leaders, and propose strategies for strengthening community leadership position and startegy. The proposed discussion will further help to build the capacity of community leaders and increase their representation in decision-making processes. This will ultimately contribute to the effective functioning of the local level capacity buildign and create better visibility of current problems and challenges and ensure that the voices of all stakeholders are heard.

Community leadership plays a crucial role in promoting digital inclusion and access at local communities. The study aims to examine the role of community leadership in promoting digital inclusion and access, identify the challenges faced by community leaders, and propose strategies for strengthening community leadership. The proposed strategies will help to build the capacity of community leaders and increase their collaboration with relevant stakeholders, ultimately contributing to the effective promotion of digital inclusion and access at local communities. The IGF can play a vital role in supporting and strengthening community leadership in this regard.
